A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Jeff has been licensed in Maine as a real estate agent since September, 1986 receiving his Brokers license in 1987. 

In addition to actively listing and selling property, Jeff has been involved in management and training throughout his real estate career. By the end of 2000 Jeff had closed over 691 transactions totaling nearly 43 million dollars of real estate sales volume. In 2000 alone, he exceeded $4,200,000 in personal sales volume making him among the highest producing agent in his market. In addition, he has performed over 1,400 property evaluations or appraisals for sellers, buyers, banks and estates.

The only area member of the Employee Relocation Council, Jeff is the exclusive relocation broker for Cendant Mobility Services, Inc. (formerly PHH Relocation)  Prudential Relocation, The Associates Relocation Management, Relocation Today, CRS, Executive Relo, Maenner Relocation and many others. Jeff Mitchell is the primary broker of choice to manage the moves of transferees from International Paper Company, Wausau Paper - Otis Division, Mead Paper Company, Scott Paper Company, G.H. Bass & Co., and the and Phillips Van-Heusen Corporation among others.
Professional Experience:

Since April, 1989: Jeff is an owner and Designated Broker of Village Realty, Inc. His duties include managing daily operations of the leading real estate firm in the Franklin County area, and the supervision and training of 12 associates and 2 full-time staff.

Since March, 1994: Jeff is past President of the Real Estate Educators Association of Maine and served on its Board of Directors. REEAMaine was voted national Chapter of the Year in 1993. Jeff is an active trainer and educator teaching all courses required for issuance of a Maine real estate license.

Since August, 1993: Jeff was appointed by Governor McKernan to serve on the Maine Real Estate Commission. The MREC is the consumer watchdog for industry malpractice including licensee sanctions and rule-making in response to new legislation affecting the real estate business in Maine. Jeff is Chairman of this Board and in 2001 Governor King re-appointed him to a fourth term.

June, 1997: Jeff was selected by the Androscoggin Valley Board of REALTORS® to be their REALTOR of the year. Those selected for this distinguished recognition have demonstrated strong community service and involvement and have the reputation for high ethics and professional effectiveness.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Education:

In 1977 Jeff received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono majoring in Management and Finance.

In September of 1986 Jeff earned the necessary credits to become a Maine real estate sales associate and within the following year had acquired his Maine broker's license.
